MULTINATIONAL BATTLE GROUP-WEST TRANSFER OF AUTHORITY CEREMONY


Pristina/Prishtina, Kosovo. After six months assuming the Command of Multinational Battle Group- West (MNBG-W) Colonel Carlo Cavalli, Commander of the Italian Army 5th Alpini Regiment, handed over the responsibility of the west KFOR battle group to Colonel Ciro Forte, Commander of the Italian Army 132th Tank Regiment. The ceremony was held in Camp Villaggio Italia in Pec, where the Italian-led Command is settled.

The hand over-take over ceremony was attended by KFOR Commander, Major General Francesco Paolo Figliuolo and by a large number of religious and military distinguished authorities.

The outgoing Commander of MNBG-W, Colonel Cavalli, thanked during his speech his subordinate units and all the multinational partners for their commitment and their strong support positively achieved in support of Kosovo people and to ensure Freedom of Movement and a safe and a secure environment all over west area.

KFOR Commander, Major General Francesco Paolo Figliuolo remarked during his speech the outstanding commitment, support and impartiality which led troops during their mandate. He said "your support, your daily actions has been really important to reduce interethnic tensions and in support of local authorities.
