MAJOR GENERAL FIGLIUOLO MET WITH ALBANIAN CHIEF OF DEFENCE
Pristina, Kosovo. The Commander of KFOR, Major General Francesco Paolo Figliuolo, today received the Albanian Chief of Defence, Major General Jeronim Bazo, at Camp Film City, NATO KFOR Headquarters in Pristina/Prishtinë.
During the meeting they discussed many topics related to the latest developments of security and the socio-economic situation in Kosovo.
General Figliuolo highlighted the excellent relations between the Albanian Armed Forces and KFOR, and he also expressed his appreciation for the outstanding contribution of the NATO Albanian staff officers to KFOR HQ.
General Bazo, reaffirming the Albanian Armed Forces commitment in KFOR, stressed the crucial role that the mission plays in order to maintain a safe and secure environment and freedom of movement, thus creating the necessary conditions to help and support progress, democracy and modernization in Kosovo.
At the conclusion of the Talks, both generals confirmed that this productive and cordial cooperation is going to continue in the future, the parties agreed that KFOR is a success story and should remain so.
The Albanian Chief of Defence and COMKFOR already met in September 2014 in Tirana as part of the ongoing High Level Talks. These regular meetings are conducted with the Chiefs of Defence of the various Countries bordering KFOR’s Area of Responsibility.
