KFOR SUPPORTS PRISTINA PEDIATRIC HOSPITAL


Pristina, Kosovo. JRD-C Commander, Colonel Corrado BENZI and KFOR troops donated medical equipments to the "Family Health Care Center"of Pristina/Priština.

Such humanitarian effort has been organised by KFOR to provide new medical equipment to the pediatric hospital which every day treats hundreds of Kosovo children afflicted by different diseases.

The initiative has been appreciated by the entire medical staff which thanked KFOR for the oustanding support to needy people and to the local institutions.

"This event"-said the director of the center- "is a clear example of solidarity and what is more, KFOR has always showed campassion to families and children with special needs".

Col. Corrado Benzi, stated that KFOR is honoured to support the pediatric hospital presenting hi-tech medical equipment which will help medics to carry out their job.

Also at the ceremony was a Pristina Municipality delegation led by Pristina Mayor Mr. Shpend Ahmedi.

The JRD-C is a multinational unit which is led by Italians and is made up of military personnel from Italy, Finland, Slovenia, Hungary and Turkey military. JRD-C operates in thirteen municipalities in Kosovo, with non-kinetic assets named Liaison and Monitoring Teams. Their main task is contributing to KFOR "Situational awareness”, through a liaison activity with the local institutions, International Organizations and local population.
