KFOR MSU CARABINIERI DONATE MEDICAL EQUIPMENT


Pristina, Kosovo. KFOR MSU Carabinieri donated a defibrillator, an electrocardiograph and medical supplies to the Directorate of the hospital in Mitrovica North.

Directors of north Mitrovica hospital, Dr. Zlatan Elek and Dr. Danica Radomirovic, thanked KFOR military contingent for the very useful equipment received due to the increasing number of persons affected by cardiovascular diseases.

The hospital is a second-level structure and assists approximately 150,000 Kosovan inhabitants. The health structure, equipped with an efficient first aid and units specialized in medicine and surgery, has an admission of 650 beds and provides an annual average of around 2000 surgeries and 1000 births.

"Neither ethnicity nor political ideology or religious belief can prevent doctors to take care of their patients”, said Colonel Paolo Coletta, MSU Commander, during the donation ceremony.

KFOR continues to be deeply involved in fostering solidarity among local population.
