KFOR DEPUTY COMMANDER TRANSFER OF AUTHORITY

Pristina, Kosovo. KFOR Commander, General Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta, marked today the transfer of authority from the outgoing Austrian Brigadier General Anton Waldner to the incoming Hungarian Brigadier General Ferenc Korom.

Attending the ceremony in Camp Film City there were ambassadors, International Community representatives, members of KFOR HQ branches and of contributing nations to give their farewell to General Waldner at the end of his one year-long tour and to welcome General Korom.

General Miglietta emphasized the outstanding professional skills and leadership performed by General Waldner as Deputy Commander of KFOR.

Since June 1999, this is the first time that Hungarian flag holds the KFOR Deputy Commander position.

Brigadier General Ferenc Korom looks forward to continuing the commitment of his predecessor. "KFOR’s mission in Kosovo could not be more relevant than it is today”, he said.
