KFOR COMPREHENSIVE APPROACH: VISIT TO THE NORTH OF KOSOVO AND MEETING WITH THE MAYOR OF ZUBIN POTOK
Pristina, Kosovo. KFOR Commander, Major General Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta flew to the north and met the Mayor of Zubin Potok, Mr Stevan Vulovic, in the City Hall of the town.
General Miglietta and Mr Vulovic discussed the current situation in Kosovo with specific focus on the north.
The mayor expressed to COM KFOR his appreciation and gratitude for the impartial and effective posture of KFOR in maintaining a safe and secure environment and freedom of movement for all the people.
"KFOR will continue to provide a secure environment in the north and in the rest of Kosovo, ready to intervene as third security responder if required”, General Miglietta said, "KFOR, in full compliance with its mandate, promotes progress and dialogue in the region”.
General Miglietta also visited Camp Cabra military base where the unfixing process is ongoing. The shaping of KFOR posture is related to an ordinary redistribution of soldiers through the territory. This readjustment guarantees more flexibility and continuity in carrying out all the operational activities related to KFOR mandate that remains unchanged.
KFOR Commander periodically meets the Kosovo stakeholders and KFOR troops on the ground for a comprehensive approach of the overall situation in the region.
