KFOR COMMANDER WELCOMED ITALIAN CHIEF OF DEFENCE
Pristina, Kosovo. Today, General Claudio Graziano, Italian Chief of Defense, was welcomed in Pristina at the KFOR Headquarters by KFOR Commander, Major General Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta.
General Graziano was briefed on the current security situation in the area and KFOR´s commitments in the region to ensure a secure environment, thus allowing the development of better social and economic conditions for all citizens of Kosovo.
During his visit, General Graziano met with the Italian Armed Forces personnel deployed in KFOR to whom he expressed his appreciation for the efforts performed every day, their professionalism and their dedication to the mission.
The Italian contribution in KFOR began in June 1999 and currently Italian service members are deployed across Kosovo.
Italy is the lead nation of the MNBG West, the Multinational Specialized Unit and the Joint Regional Detachment Center.
