KFOR COMMANDER MEETS WITH GERMAN MINISTER OF DEFENCE STATE SECRETARY

Pristina, Kosovo. KFOR Commander, Major General Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta welcomed the Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Minister of Defence of the Federal Republic of Germany, Mr Markus Grübel, at KFOR Headquarters.

General Miglietta and Mr Grübel participated in discussions concerning the latest development in the current safety and political situation in Kosovo and they agreed that the level of security throughout Kosovo is considerably increased.

During the meeting General Miglietta took the opportunity to emphasize the professionalism and the high commitment of the German soldiers in accomplishing KFOR mandate.

Currently almost 800 German service members are deployed across Kosovo as mainly part of the Multinational Battle Group East, the Medical Task Force and as members of KFOR HQ Staff too. Parliamentary State Secretary confirmed that "as one ‎of the main troop contributing nations to KFOR, Germany will continue an adequate military contribution to KFOR in the framework of the comprehensive approach”.
