KFOR COMMANDER MEETING WITH UNMIK SRSG

Pristina, Kosovo. Major General Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta welcomed today the Special Representative of the Secretary General and Head of the United Nations Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK), H.E. Mr Zahir Tanin, at KFOR Headquarters.

During the meeting they discussed the current security situation in Kosovo focusing on the migration flows and the phenomenon of foreign fighters that affect the Balkan region.

Mr Tanin highly praised the commitment of KFOR as a crucial partner in maintaining peace and stability in the region.

Both interlocutors agreed that the presence of KFOR contributes significantly to providing safe and secure environment for all the citizens of Kosovo, while working closely with all the Institutions in Kosovo.

This visit is part of key leader meetings conducted regularly by COM KFOR with the Representatives of the International Community including the political, military and civilian authorities in Kosovo.
