JFC NAPLES COMMANDER VISIT TO KFOR


Pristina, Kosovo. Deputy Commander Allied Joint Force Command Naples, Lieutenant General Alain J. Parent was present when KFOR Commander, Major General Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta welcomed today Joint Force Command – Naples Commander, U.S. Navy Admiral Mark E. Ferguson III at KFOR HQ, in Pristina.

COM JFCNP was briefed on the latest developments in the current security and political situation in Kosovo as well as the wider Balkans region. The improvement of the overall security situation in Kosovo, the migration flow in the Balkans, the foreign fighters’ and the recent refurbishment of the Austerlitz Bridge in Mitrovica were the main topics of the meeting.

During the visit, Admiral Ferguson, his Deputy and KFOR Commander had a meeting with the EULEX Head of Mission, the Head of the European Union Office in Kosovo /European Union Special Representative in Kosovo and the "Quint Ambassadors” of France, Germany, Italy, UK and USA.

Admiral Ferguson appreciated very much the commitment of KFOR soldiers and stressed the important role that KFOR has to deal with current Balkans challenges.
