HEADQUARTERS SUPPORT GROUP GUARD PLATOON TRAINING EXERCISE

Pristina, Kosovo. The HSG Guard Company conducted a training exercise involving the Fire Brigade and KFOR HQ Medical personnel at "Camp Film City”.

The exercise was designed to test first responder’s reactions to a series of security and medical problems. The fictitious scenario was centered on a military vehicle that was set on fire and exploded seconds later causing multiple injuries to the passengers and also to members of the Guard Platoon.

The Guard Duty Officer deployed the Immediate Reaction Force and alerted the Fire Brigade and Medical staff. This exercise required clear communication and co-ordination between all elements and the passage of timely and accurate information was an important feature of the exercise.

KFOR HQ routinely carries out training exercises to practice emergency procedures and reaction times of duty personnel.
