COMMANDER OF THE FINNISH ARMY VISIT TO KFOR


Pristina, Kosovo. Today, KFOR Commander, Major General Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta, welcomed the Commander of the Finnish Army, Lieutenant General Seppo Risto Juhani Toivonen, to an official meeting in Camp "Film City”, KFOR Headquarters.

The Generals discussed Finnish contribution to accomplish KFOR’s mandate in providing the necessary conditions for the overall security situation in Kosovo.

The Commander of the Finnish Army, who was also Commander of the KFOR Multinational Task Force Center in 2009-2010, reaffirmed that Finland will continue to strongly support the mission, as done since the beginning of the NATO mission in 1999.

General Miglietta thanked General Toivonen highlighting the excellent work done by KFOR Finnish soldiers, in close cooperation with all the other international members of the headquarters.

During his visit to KFOR, General Toivonen took the opportunity to meet members of the Finnish Armed Forces deployed in Camp Film City, as part of the KFOR HQ.
