COM KFOR MEETS THE SWISS AMBASSADOR TO KOSOVO

Pristina, Kosovo. Major General Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta, KFOR Commander, met today the Swiss Ambassador, H.E. Mrs Krystyna Marty Lang, at Camp "Film City” NATO KFOR Headquarters in Pristina/Prishtina.

General Miglietta thanked Ambassador Lang for the considerable contribution given to KFOR, since 1999, to ensure a stable and secure environment in Kosovo.

Ambassador Lang confirmed that "Swiss is fully committed to keep the stability in Kosovo and it will continue to sustain KFOR for a democratic and peaceful country”.

Currently, Swiss contributes to KFOR with almost 200 soldiers, deployed in Kosovo and operating mostly in the Joint Regional Detachment - North, as leader Nation.

COM KFOR and the Swiss Ambassador agreed on the importance of KFOR’s long- lasting contribution in maintaining a stable level of security throughout Kosovo, perceived by the local population as considerably increased.

This meeting follows other similar ones held by the KFOR Commander for a comprehensive approach to the overall Kosovo situation.
