COM KFOR MEETS THE SWEDEN AMBASSADOR TO FYROM*

Pristina, Kosovo. KFOR Commander, Major General Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta, welcomed today Sweden’s Ambassador to FYROM, accredited to Kosovo and Albania, H.E. Mr Mats Arne Staffansson, to Camp "Film City” NATO KFOR Headquarters in Pristina.

General Miglietta and Ambassador Staffansson discussed the latest developments in the security and political situation in Kosovo and also the current migrations crisis. They agreed on the importance of the role of KFOR in contributing, as the third responder, to support Kosovo Police, EULEX and all local and international organizations.

During the meeting General Miglietta emphasized the professionalism and the commitment of Swedish soldiers deployed as members of the HQ Staff, in endeavouring to implement KFOR’s mandate since 1999.

Ambassador Staffansson confirmed that "Sweden is fully committed to maintaining stability in Kosovo and it will continue to support KFOR’s mission and to help achieve stability and success in the stabilization process.”
