COM KFOR MEETS THE FINNISH AMBASSADOR TO KOSOVO


Pristina, Kosovo. Major General Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta, KFOR Commander, received the visit of the new appointed Finnish Ambassador to Kosovo, H.E. Mrs Anne Kristiina Huhtamäki, at KFOR Headquarters.

General Miglietta thanked Ambassador Huhtamäki for the contribution given by Finnish soldiers to ensure a stable and secure environment in Kosovo.

Finland has been participating in KFOR mission since 1999 and the current Finnish contribution consists of a Liaison and Monitoring Team placed in Drenas/Glogovac, belonging to the Joint Regional Detachment Centre, and members of KFOR HQ Staff too.

During the meeting were discussed different matters, among which, the current overall situation in Kosovo and the importance of the strengthening of rule of law, strictly related to the economic development of every country.

Ambassador Huhtamäki confirmed that "Finland will continue to support KFOR mission to keep the stability in Kosovo”.
