COM KFOR MEETING WITH THE AMBASSADOR OF AUSTRIA TO KOSOVO

Pristina, Kosovo. KFOR Commander, Major General Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta, met today the newly appointed Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Austria to Kosovo, HE Mr Gernot Pfandler, at Camp "Film City” NATO KFOR Headquarters in Pristina.

The overall security situation in Kosovo and the migration flow in the Balkans were the main topics discussed during the meeting.

General Miglietta expressed his appreciation for the professionalism of the Austrian contingent, consisting currently of about 500 service members, mainly deployed in Pec, as part of the Multinational Battle Group West and as members of KFOR HQ staff.

He emphasized the importance of the role of KFOR in maintaining a safe and secure environment and freedom of movement throughout Kosovo under the United Nations Security Council resolution 1244.
