AMBASSADORS VISIT KFOR HQ


General Miglietta met today French and Turkish ambassadors in Kosovo.

Pristina, Kosovo. KFOR Commander, Major General Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta met this morning the Ambassador of France, H.E. Mrs Maryse Daviet, at Camp "Film City” NATO KFOR Headquarters in Pristina.

General Miglietta and Ambassador Daviet discussed the overall situation in Kosovo focusing on the recent internal developments. They highlighted the effective role of KFOR in maintaining a safe and secure environment and freedom of movement for the development of better social and economic conditions.

The Ambassador of France, together with American, British, German and Italian ambassadors is part of the "Quint Ambassadors”.

In the afternoon, General Miglietta received the Ambassador of Turkey to Kosovo, H.E. Songul Ozan. During the meeting General Miglietta highlighted the important role, the professionalism and the outstanding contribution of Turkish service members in KFOR. Ambassador Ozan confirmed that KFOR is one of the most trustable Institutions for the people in Kosovo.

Currently, Turkey is one of the most important Contributing Nations to KFOR with more than 380 soldiers. Turkey is also the leading nation of the Joint Regional Detachment South.

Ambassadors Daviet and Ambassador Ozan congratulated with General Miglietta for the new prestigious appointment as 20th KFOR Commander.
