THE ARMED FORCES OPERATIONAL COMMANDER OF POLAND VISITS KFOR


Today KFOR Commander, Major General Francesco Paolo Figliuolo, welcomed the Polish Armed Forces Operational Commander, Lieutenant General Marek Tomaszycki and his staff at Camp "Film City”, NATO KFOR Headquarters in Pristina/Prishtinë.

During the meeting General Tomaszycki was updated by General Figliuolo on the latest developments of security and the socio-economic situation in Kosovo, and the contribution made to KFOR by the Polish Contingent. General Figliuolo expressed his appreciation for the Polish cooperation and support of the KFOR mission. He emphasized the excellent results and the commendable professionalism of the Polish service-members.

The visit of the Polish Armed Forces Operational Commander continued to Camp Maréchal de Lattre de Tassigny in Novo Selo, where Lieutenant General Marek Tomaszycki met the Polish Contingent, where he highlighted the key-role of KFOR to maintain a safe and secure environment throughout Kosovo.

Currently Poland provides about 250 soldiers that are part of the KFOR Headquarters Staff, the Multinational Battle Group East (MNBG-E) and the Joint Regional Detachment South (JRD-S).
