KFOR POSTURE DURING ISA BOLETINI REBURIAL CEREMONY

KFOR will not escort the remains of Isa Boletini in Boletin village on next 10th June as some media reported yesterday. In accordance with its mandate and UN resolution 1244, KFOR will be ready to intervene as third responder, if requested by Kosovo Police and EULEX, and during the reburial ceremony will maintain a discreet but robust posture.

The movement of the remains from Mitrovica stadium to Boletin village will be escorted by Kosovo Police while COMKFOR will not authorize Kosovo Security Forces to move in the northern Municipalities territory.

General Figliuolo believes that it is of paramount importance that all people involved in the ceremony will maintain a responsible and mature behavior. In doing so, they will help KFOR in performing its task of maintaining safe and secure environment for all the people of Kosovo.
