KFOR COMMANDER VISITS THE TROOPS
27th December 2014. On Christmas eve, KFOR Commander, Major General Francesco Paolo Figliuolo, visited KFOR troops deployed Kosovo wide, traveling even to the furthest outposts.
It was the chance for him to share a special moment with his soldiers, in which most of them celebrate personal religious belief. As KFOR Commander said:
"Your tasks were undertaken with unparalleled confidence, skill and determination, and for that I am grateful. The hard work, dedication, and endeavours of KFOR soldiers ensure that Kosovo is safer place to live. Many of us will spend this period away from our loved ones, and we should take pride in our devotion to fulfilling the mission here in Kosovo. You have been entrusted with the responsibility of providing a safe and secure environment and ensuring freedom of movement for the people of Kosovo... Lets us be an example to those around us as leaders in the values of inclusiveness, peace and tolerance”.
At each outpost, General Figliuolo, in parting from the soldiers, expressed his best wishes to each of them for a fruitful and successful New Year.
