KFOR COMMANDER MET WITH MAJOR GENERAL ALEJANDRE

Pristina - 23rd October 2014, Today KFOR Commander, Major General Francesco Paolo Figliuolo, met with Major General Fernando Alejandre (Spain), the SHAPE Deputy Chief of Staff for Resources.

They discussed the construction and importance of the Rotary Wing Deployment Operational Base (RWDOB) at Slatina Airfield. They also discussed other upcoming critical KFOR logistical and infrastructural projects.

The first of which was upgrades and improvements to Camp Marechal Lattre de Tassigny at Novo Selo, including the possibility of connecting the camp to Kosovo Energy Corporation (known locally as KEK), greatly reducing the cost per man at the camp.

The meeting with the SHAPE DCOS was instrumental in communicating the scope and necessity for these critical logistical projects and gaining SHAPE concurrence and support.
