GERMAN PARLIAMENTARIAN SECRETARY OF STATE MINISTRY OF DEFENCE VISITS KFOR


PRISTINA, Kosovo. The German Parliamentarian Secretary of State Ministry of Defence, Mr. Wolfang BRAUKSIEPE and two members of the German Parliament visited KFOR HQ and met KFOR Commander, Major-General Salvatore FARINA, in Camp Film City, Pristina.

COM KFOR, Major-General Salvatore FARINA welcomed Mr. Wolfang BRAUKSIEPE and the distinguished guests and during an office call in KFOR Headquarters, he discussed with them the current operations and the political situation in Kosovo and in the Balkan area.

Major General Salvatore FARINA underlined the work done by KFOR in close cooperation with all the local and international security organizations during the elections of the mayor of Mitrovica North on 23 February.

This important goal has been reached thanks to the significant support provided by the German contingent, comprising of 685 military personnel throughout KFOR: Major General Salvatore FARINA thanked Mr. Wolfang BRAUKSIEPE for the very important contribution, commitment and professionalism of German troops to KFOR.


The German Parliamentarian Secretary of State Minister of Defence confirmed the support of his country to KFOR efforts in order to ensure the accomplishment of NATO mission and their support for progress for all the people of Kosovo.

On completion of his visit to KFOR HQ, Mr. Wolfang BRAUKSIEPE and the other distinguished visitors took the opportunity to meet members of the German Armed Forces participating in the mission in Kosovo.
