Pristina, 6 of September 2014. KFOR Commander, Major General Francesco Paolo Figliuolo, invited by General Director Mr Shpend Maxhuni, was present this morning to the 15th Anniversary of the Kosovo Police ceremony.
The ceremony was attended by the President of Kosovo, Madame Atifete Jahjaga who gave a speech.
During the event, General Figliuolo took part in the delivery of several awards for special service to Kosovo Police members.
COM KFOR expressed his appreciation for the increased capabilities of Kosovo Police and for professionally fulfilling its role as the first security responder in Kosovo.
The ceremony ended with the distribution of promotion certificates to Kosovo Police Officers and non-commissioned officers.
Kosovo Police, EULEX and KFOR, within their role of first, second and third security responder, operate daily in synergy and close cooperation in order to guarantee a safe and secure environment and the freedom of movement.
In keeping with the new motto "Example Endeavour Entrust” KFOR will continue to ensure its presence all around Kosovo with specific focus in the northern part of Kosovo.
