DEPUTY SUPREME ALLIED COMMAND EUROPE (DESIGNED) VISITS KFOR


Pristina, 11 February 2014. Today the Deputy Supreme Allied Command Europe (Designed), General Sir Adrian BRADSHAW visited HQ KFOR in Pristina and met with the KFOR Commander Major General Salvatore FARINA.

COM KFOR and the international HQ Staff had an operations update briefing with General BRADSHW concerning the latest development in the current security and political situation in Kosovo as well as the wider Balkans region, with particular attention devoted to the upcoming elections in MITROVICA north, on 23 February 2014.

Major General Salvatore FARINA underlined the positive and close cooperation with KP, EULEX, and with all the other international and local organizations, in order to maintain a Safe and Secure Environment and Freedom of Movement throughout Kosovo.

During the visit, General BRADSHAW met the UK Ambassador in Kosovo HE Ian CLIFF.

General BRADSHAW, accompanied by Major General Salvatore FARINA, also visited the Units operating in the North, Camp CABRA, Gate 1, Camp Nothing Hill and Operation Post 31, where he attended a briefing on the current operational situation.
 
Before completing his visit to KFOR the Deputy Supreme Allied Command Europe (Designed), General Sir Adrian BRADSHAW went to MITROVICA where he visited CAMBRONNE Bridge and AUSTERLITZ Bridge, guarded by Multinational Specialized Unit CARABINIERI and to Camp NOVO SELO where he met with the manoeuvre Commanders based there.
