DEPUTY PRIME MINISTER EDITA TAHIRI RECEIVED TODAY KFOR COMMANDER MAJOR GENERAL SALVATORE FARINA


Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Edita Tahiri met with the Commander of KFOR, General Salvatore Farina with whom she discussed the latest political and security developments in the country.

Deputy Prime Minister congratulated Commander Farina for the hard work of KFOR in accomplishing its mission to maintain peace and provide security for all citizens of our state. She also highly assessed the contribution of NATO and KFOR in building the security architecture of Kosovo through support to the KSF and transformation in Kosovo Armed Forces, within the vision of Euro-Atlantic integration of the state of Kosovo.

General Farina thanked the Kosovo Government for constructive cooperation and partnership by ensuring that KFOR will continue to be committed in advancing its mission for peace and security in Kosovo. He reaffirmed that NATO remains committed to continue peacekeeping mission in accordance with its mandate in order to provide a secure environment and overall stability in Kosovo.
