D-COM KFOR CHANGE OF COMMAND

October 1, 2014 – Today, the Transfer of Authority of the Deputy Commander (D-COM) KFOR was held in front of KFOR Headquarters in Camp Film City, Pristina.

The ceremony was attended by COM KFOR General Figliuolo, and it marked the transfer of authority from outgoing Austrian Brigadier General Anton Wessely who assumed the duty of Deputy Commander of KFOR on 30 September 2013 to the incoming Austrian Brigadier General Anton Waldner.

Attending the ceremony were, besides Ambassadors and UNMIK Head of Mission, all representatives of the various HQ Branches and KFOR contributing nations, to give their farewell to General Wessely at the end of his tour and welcome General Waldner.

General Figliuolo underlined the outstanding performance of General Wessely, his professional qualities and the complete commitment to KFOR during his year long duty tour in Kosovo.
