COM KFOR VISITS MEDICA KOSOVA

Djacovica/Gjacova 10th JAN 2014. Today Major-General Salvatore FARINA, Commander of KFOR, visited MEDICA KOSOVA NGO (MK) in Djacovica/Gjacova.

Major-General Salvatore FARINA met Mrs. Veprore SHEHU director of the Center.

MEDICA KOSOVA NGO was founded in 1999 and it supports women survived to war's crimes in the area of Djacovica/Gjacova, providing them with psychological, medical and legal assistance.

COM KFOR spoke directly with some of the women that shared with him their personal stories, their challenges and their present situation.

Major-General Salvatore FARINA met the art therapy group and visited their art exhibition and he agreed on a future project of a traveling exhibition through KFOR camps in order to give to the women a possibility to sell their art.

COM KFOR expressed his appreciation for the cooperation between KFOR and MEDICA KOSOVA NGO.
