KFOR COMMANDER MEETS ALBANIAN MINISTER OF DEFENSE

PRISTINA, Kosovo. Today, the Minister of Defense of Albania, Her Excellency Mimi KODHELI, visited KFOR Headquarters and met Kosovo Force Commander, Major-General Salvatore FARINA (COM KFOR), in Camp Film City Pristina.

Among other topics discussions were held about the current security situation in Kosovo and Albania and the cooperation between KFOR and Albanian Armed Forces. Updates were also delivered on the cooperation between NATO/KFOR and Kosovo Security Forces.

Another subject touched during the meeting has been the importance of the stability of the Western Balkan and the opportunity to adopt a regional approach for security.

COM KFOR expressed his appreciation for the contribution of Albania to KFOR, highlighting the professionalism and commitment of the Albanian staff officers serving in KFOR Headquarters.

Today’s meeting follows the one that took place on the 16th October 2013 when COM KFOR visited Albania.
