COM KFOR VISITS MAJCA DEVET JUGOVICA

Novoberde/Novo Brdo 15th JAN 2014. Today Major-General Salvatore FARINA, Commander of KFOR, visited MAJKA DEVET JUGOVICA NGO in Novoberde/Novo Brdo.

Major-General Salvatore FARINA met Ms. Svetlana STEVIC executive director of the Center.

MAJKA DEVET JUGOVICA NGO was founded in 2000, the NGO took its name from an epic song about a Serbian woman who lost her husband and her nine sons during the battle of Kosovo Polje in 1389.

The NGO provides different kind of help such as food for over 2000 people on daily bases, to all communities, and it is active south of the Ibar River.

Major-General Salvatore FARINA met several staff members of the NGO that shared with him their experiences as volunteers in this organization.

COM KFOR expressed his appreciation for the cooperation between KFOR and MAJKA DEVET JUGOVICA NGO.
