MILITARY CIVIL ADVISORY DIVISION CLOSURE CEREMONY

On 09 th October COM KFOR General Salvatore Farina was invited to a ceremony that was hosted at the HQ LFC KSF to mark the closure of the MCAD.

The MCAD was established in early 2008 with a mission to stand up and train the Kosovo Security Force (KSF). This was a unique endeavour for NATO, sustained over five years through the contribution of some 1200 personnel, on a voluntary national contribution basis from NATO member states.

Many military and civilian personalies attended this event. These included a representative of the Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo, the KFOR NLAT Commander General Wagner, the KSF Commander General Kastrati , and the KSF Land Force Commander General Rama.

Both General Wagner and General Kastrati delivered speeches on the history of the MCAD outlining its crucial role in recruiting, selecting and training the members of the KSF.

The ceremony was closed by granting letters of appreciation to former MCAD members.
