MAJOR GENERAL (MG) SALVATORE FARINA, RECEIVED A WARM VISIT FROM ITALIAN AMBASSADOR TO KOSOVO


On 11th September 2013 the Commander of KFOR, Major General (MG) Salvatore FARINA, received a warm visit from Italian Ambassador to Kosovo, His Excellency Michael Louis GIFFONI at KFOR Camp "Film City” in Pristina.

Ambassador Giffoni highlighted that Italy continues to support the KFOR mission and is one of the most important contributors.

The Ambassador and COM KFOR paid tribute to the significant commitment of Italian military personnel both on the ground since 1999 and as part of the international stabilization force following the end of the war. Italian contingent is composed about 560 military personnel throughout KFOR including COMKFOR Staff personnel.

The Ambassador explained the importance of Italian Armed Forces to support and assist the NATO KFOR efforts in helping Kosovo to develop a mature economy , including infrastructure development and trade arrangements, to assist Kosovo in building its own enduring and effective security organization.
