KFOR COMMANDER MEETS NATO DEPUTY ASSISTANT SECRETARY GENERAL


PRISTINA, Kosovo. On the 04th of November 2013, in Film City, the Kosovo Force Commander, Major General Salvatore FARINA had a working breakfast and an office call with Mr. Richard D.F. FROH, NATO's Deputy Assistant Secretary General.

Mr. FROH is currently appointed NATO's Deputy Assistant Secretary General for operations, with responsibilities related to the Alliance's operations in Afghanistan, Lybia, the Balkans, as well as counter-piracy and various training missions.

Among other topics, the discussions were held about the development of Kosovo Security Forces as well as the general situation in Kosovo, and included the role of KFOR in creating an environment which supports the political process.

Major General FARINA highlighted the fact that KFOR will continue to cooperate and assist the United Nations, the European Union, and other international actors and will act, as third responder, in assisting the activities of KP, EULEX and all international and local organizations in order to maintain Safe and Secure Environment and Freedom of Movement throughout Kosovo.
