CZECH AMBASSADOR TO KOSOVO VISITS COMKFOR

PRISTINA, Kosovo. On the 31th of October 2013, in Film City, the Kosovo Force Commander, Major General Salvatore FARINA (COM KFOR), received a visit from the CZECH Ambassador to Kosovo, His Excellency Mr. Jiří DOLEŽEL and Mr. Victor DVORAK, Director of the Security Policy Department.

The CZECH Ambassador expressed his satisfaction with the continued dialog between Pristina and Belgrade and the readiness of both parties to engage in advancing relations.

COM KFOR thanked the Ambassador on the Czech contribution to KFOR and outlined possible areas where still some shortfalls are present in KFOR CJSOR in order to allow any possible future increase of contribution by Czech Republic. Regional co-operation in the Balkans, the situation on role of KFOR in the upcoming elections, the way of guaranteeing a safe and secure environment, freedom of movement and ongoing support for progress towards a better future for all people in Kosovo were also discussed.

Maj. Gen. FARINA thanked Mr. Jiří DOLEŽEL for the continued support of the Czech elements within KFOR.
