COMMANDER JFC NAPLES VISITS KFOR


PRISTINA, Kosovo. Commander Joint Force Command Naples (COM JFCNP) Admiral Bruce W. CLINGAN visited HQ KFOR in Pristina and met KFOR Commander Major-General Salvatore FARINA (COM KFOR) on 17th December 2013.

Major-General Salvatore FARINA and Admiral CLINGAN discussed the current security and political situation in Kosovo as well as the wider Balkans region, the latest developments and the evolution of KFOR Mission. They also discussed the important steps for the implementation of the agreement between Pristina and Belgrade in order to achieve normalization.

COM JFCNP greeted members of Kosovo Force and he emphasized the importance of KFOR in the delicate and tense context of the Balkans and the need to continue to accomplish the mission promoting progress in the region.

After the meeting, Admiral CLINGAN, accompanied by Major- General Salvatore FARINA, visited Camp Novo Selo where they had a meeting with the Commander of the Joint Regional Detachment North the Liaison Monitoring Team leaders and the Commander of Multinational Battle Group East.

Later in the afternoon COM JFCNP went to MITROVICA North to visit the Liaison Monitoring Team field office.

Admiral CLINGAN completed his visit to KFOR by sharing Christmas and season’s greetings with KFOR HQ and KFOR soldiers.
