COM KFOR MET THE US AMBASSADOR TO KOSOVO


On 22 October 2013 the Commander of KFOR, Major General Salvatore FARINA, COMKFOR, received a warm visit from US Ambassador to Kosovo, Her Excellency Tracey Jacobson at KFOR Camp "Film City” in Pristina.

Maj. Gen. FARINA underlined the importance of the support of the US contingent that is composed about 669 military personnel throughout KFOR including KFOR HQ Staff elements. COMKFOR thanked the Ambassador for this contribution and commented on professionalism of USA troops. Ambassador Jacobson highlighted that USA is continuing to support the KFOR mission as one of the most important contributors.

COMKFOR and the USA Ambassador paid tribute to the significant commitment of USA military personnel on the ground since 1999 and as part of the international stabilization force following the end of the war.

Both highlighted the importance that KFOR efforts in contributing, as the third responder, to support KP, EULEX and all local and international organizations involved in election process to maintain SASE and FOM throughout Kosovo.
