CHARGE D AFFAIRES OF FINLANDS EMBASSY VISITS KFOR

In Camp Film City PRISTINA on the 20th November 2013, the Kosovo Force Commander, Major-General Salvatore FARINA (COM KFOR), received a visit from the Chargee d' Affaires of FINLAND's Embassy in KOSOVO, Ms. Anne MESKANEN.

Ms. MESKANEN was received by Major-General FARINA in KFOR in the headquarters, where the meeting was held. COM KFOR thanked her for the visit and then he briefed her on the general security situation in KOSOVO, on progress in relation to the implementation of the Pristina Belgrade agreement, and specifically in relation to the recent municipal elections and the timely intervention of KFOR in the security operation associated with these elections.

COM KFOR also expressed his appreciation for the contribution of FINLAND's troops to KFOR and he emphasized the importance of the capabilities that Finland provides in order to implement the KFOR mandate.
