INFORMATION FOR PROSPECTIVE CANDIDATES FOR THE POSITION OF COLLATION ANALYST – MISSION CIVILIAN LEVEL 4 POSITION AT HQ KFOR, PRISTINA, KOSOVO 


Completing an Application Form 

Thank you for your interest in the position of Collation Analyst at Kosovo Forces Headquarters (KFOR HQ). On our website, you will find an Application Form and Job Description.

Please pay particular attention when completing Part Two of the application form. In this section, you are required to give specific information and examples of your work experience that clearly demonstrate that you have the essential requirements for the position. The essential and desirable education, experience and skills requirements are: 

- Junior College or post-secondary education leading to a qualification in one of the following areas: international studies; international relations; political studies; political science; intelligence or security management. College-education may be substituted by commensurate military/civilian training in Intelligence, Counter-Intelligence and Security methods, research and analysis.

- Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible experience in Intelligence, Counter Intelligence and Security management, preferably in a police/military context 

- Previous experience in a military and/or multinational environment, particularly in the Balkans theatre, is highly desirable.

- Completion of Link Analysis, Intel – FS, BISCT, NIFST Training is desirable.

- A very good level of English language.

-Strong communication and team working skills

In Part One of the application form, you should ensure you complete the sections confirming level of education and any training certification. Failure to do so, will likely result in the rejection of your application. 

Essential Language Requirements: Candidates will be required to have a very good level of speaking, reading, writing, and listening in English (please indicate language skills in Section 8, of Part One of the Application Form). Candidates who are shortlisted for the position will be administered a language test. 

Nationality Requirements: Applicants must be nationals of NATO member nations. 

Applications must be returned by e-mail to recruitment@hq.kfor.nato.int from 30 Sep 2024 to 23 Oct 2024. An acknowledgement of receipt of application will be provided but only candidates who are shortlisted for interview will be contacted further. 

Applicants should complete and return only the Application Form. No additional documents (CVs, Letters of Reference, Commendations, etc.) should be submitted. Applications need to be sent electronically as MS Word document or .pdf file. No signature needed at this stage of the recruitment.

Evidence of educational qualifications and/or training certifications will be sought for candidates who are invited for interview. The successful candidate is expected to join the organization ASAP.

Information on KFOR and the Post

The NATO-led Kosovo Force (KFOR) is deployed in Kosovo to help maintain a safe and secure environment and freedom of movement for all citizens, irrespective of their ethnic origin. KFOR is part of the wider international effort to build peace and stability in the area. HQ KFOR is based in Film City, Pristina. 

The KFOR is a COMKFOR mission and operations are driven by intelligence. The J2 Branch contributes to information sharing, situational awareness and comprehensive understanding for both the operational and strategic levels to inform decision-making. 

The Intelligence Collation Management (ICM) Section is responsible for capturing data, information, intelligence and knowledge, systematically and cross-systematically, through effective management of the database and processes, and Battle Space Objects (BSO), such as organizations, units, persons, place and events related to the political, military, economic, social, information, infrastructure (PMESII) domains. 

Information on Employment Conditions (this is provided as a guide only and is not meant to be an exhaustive list)

This position is a Mission Civilian (MCIV) level 4 position. The post holder will work in Camp Film City, Pristina, Kosovo. 

The starting salary for MCIV-4 is 5,401.00 € per month (exempt from local taxation). 

Other employment benefits include: 

-Affiliation to a Group Medical Insurance Scheme (premiums shared between employee/employer). 

- Addition amount of 12% of the basic pay paid by organization for personal pension obligations, plans, and/or schemes. 

- 30 days annual leave per calendar year 

- Up to 7 Special leave days 

- Up to 11 days Official/National holidays. 

- An installation allowance equal to one month’s salary (eligible if opting to stay outside of the camp, and 50% to be reimbursed if not completing two consecutive years of service).

- A removal allowance equal to one month’s salary, after having completed at least one year of consecutive service, unless removal expenses are reimbursed by any other source.

- Travel Expenses paid to take up duty / end of tour from/to your permanent residence.

Before any appointment is confirmed, the preferred candidate will be required to obtain a NATO Security Clearance and to successfully pass a medical examination certifying fitness to work. 

The successful candidate will be offered a 12-month contract which may be renewed yearly up to a maximum period of six years and subject to satisfactory performance and the continued operational need/funding for the position.
