SKOPJE, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia* - The NATO Liaison Office Skopje held its traditional annual reception, December 3, 2015.
For this delectable event the liaison office invited representatives of the government, members of the Ministry of Defence and the General Staff, officers and state servants in the defence and security area, as well as diplomats and defence attaches.
This year the reception was held under the motto "20 Years Successful Cooperation” to celebrate the excellent and ever enhancing cooperation which started in 1995 when the country joined NATO’s Partnership for Peace Programe PfP).
Considering the importance that the country’s leadership attaches to its membership in NATO, the reception was attended by Prime Minister Gruevski himself, as well as Vice Prime Minister in Charge of European Affairs, Mr. Besimi, and Vice Prime Minister for Implementation of the Ohrid Framework Agreement, Mr. Xhaferri. Attending also were many heads of mission of the international organizations and embassies resident in the country as well as many other international and domestic representatives.
The reception was conducted in a very friendly atmosphere.
