He has served with the United States Army for a total of twenty- eight years in both active duty and reserve positions. Active duty service focus was with the Field Artillery as a Commissioned Officer. Various assignments were held in Europe, Asia and the United States during thirteen years of active duty service.
Reserve service has focused in Training, Civil Affairs and Public Information. Career highlights include his current position, command of a Public Affairs Detachment and as a Public Information (Plans) Officer in support of HQ's SFOR operations in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Civilian career since active duty service had been focused on work in the non-profit sector, sales and training until a recent return to a career in his original education and expertise.

Frequent speaker on NATO Public Information activities in the Balkans.
