SKOPJE, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia* -- Among his official visits, the NATO Secretary General met with the NATO Liaison Office Skopje on Jan. 18 in Skopje.
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg met with the NLO Skopje members to discuss the actual NATO foot print in the country who are helping and assisting the defence and security reforms. NLO Skopje Chief, Slovenian Navy Captain Gorazd Bartol, presented his staff to the Secretary General and commended the work of everyone in office in supporting the country’s efforts to implement reforms and join the NATO family.
Stoltenberg also addressed the NLO Skopje’s staff and said that he highly appreciates all the work performed by this office and helping the country in its endeavors to become a NATO member and showing the support that NATO extends locally.
During Stoltenberg’s address in the Parliament of the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, he did not fail to mention the NLO Skopje and their efforts.
*Turkey recognises the Republic of Macedonia with its constitutional name.
