SKOPJE, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia* - The NATO Liaison Office Skopje participated in the closing ceremony of the Summer Camp 2018 held in Krivolak Training Area in the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia on July 6.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, Radmila Sekerinska, came for the ceremony and the demonstration exercise in which 11 countries from the region and wider area took part.
While addressing the participants Sekerinska said, "The country did not wait for the NATO invitation but worked hard to earn it. The country worked and will continue to do so to fulfill all criteria and standards. The Military Academy and the Ministry of Defence are doing everything to train a modern army that will be a NATO member.”
The international project "Summer Camp 2018” is aimed at introducing young cadets and future peace keepers to the possible challenges in post-conflict operations. The Camp took place in Pepelishte and Krivolak with participation of more than 120 participants from 11 countries including cadets from Austria, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Romania, the United States, Kosovo, Croatia, Montenegro and the Host Nation.
