The Chief of the General Staff of the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia* visits NATO Liaison Office Skopje
SKOPJE, former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia* - The Chief of the NATO Liaison Office Skopje, Slovenian Navy Captain, Gorazd Bartol and his team held a working meeting with Chief of the General Staff of the Army of the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia*, October 4, 2017.
The Chief of the General Staff, Lieutenant General Metodija Velichkovski, has been accompanied by the Chief of the Military Cooperation Branch and the Sergeant Major of the Army, the highest non-commissioned rank.
Captain (N) Bartol provided a brief on the NATO liaison office activities and the future dynamics of the joint collaboration, according to the planned coordinated forms of cooperation.
He underlined the significance of the current cooperation that is the essential function of the NATO office as the Euro-Atlantic integration process, the improvement of the forces’ overall readiness and the support of transfer of experiences in terms of military and security reforms that have been made so far.
In addition, Captain (N) Bartol stressed out the relevance of its advisory team’s contribution to ongoing joint operations in the Balkans.
