Chief NLOSk meets the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Nikola Poposki
SKOPJE, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia* -- The newly appointed Chief of the NATO Liaison Office Skopje, Navy Captain Gorazd Bartol, held a meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister of the Government and Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikola Poposki, July 26, 2016.
Minister Poposki reaffirmed the determination of his country’s government to join NATO as soon as possible as one of the main priorities of their foreign policy. There is still leeway for further improvement in defence and security sector reforms, for which the assistance and support of the NLOSk would be invaluable. On that, the NLOSk Chief pledged his office’s full commitment to assisting the country.
During the meeting, Minister Poposki expressed his satisfaction with the ongoing cooperation between the NATO Liaison Office and the institutions in the country, underlining the importance of the continuous presence of NATO in the country and their partnership in the implementation of the reforms in national security.
