We Are NATO

Every day, NATO Allies work and train together, and with partners like BiH, to keep our citizens safe, guarantee peace and defend our freedoms.

Although our role in BiH has changed over the years, our commitment to bringing the same peace, security and prosperity that our members enjoy to BiH has not.

We are 31 friends, here at the request of the authorities in BiH, supporting them as they undertake vital reforms that will make the country stronger, more democratic and improve its ability to protect its citizens in a crisis.

These reforms are aren't just steps on the path to NATO membership- they are important in themselves. Regardless of whether BiH decides to join NATO, they will protect human rights and the rule of law, and make life better for the people in BiH.
