Visit to a new AFBIH Medical Center in Capljina

A brand new medical facility has been opened in Capiljina, thanks to support from one of our NATO allies- the UK.

A team from the British Embassy in Sarajevo secured funding for 4 new medical centers in barracks across BiH, which will provide easy access to medical care for soldiers.

The formal opening ceremony was attended by the British Ambassador, His Excellency Matthew Field, Defence Minister Podzic, senior politicians, and military and medical personnel.

As well as improving the quality of life of soldiers, these centers will - directly and indirectly – support improvements to the operational effectiveness of the armed forces as a whole as well as providing vital assistance to civilian services at times of greatest need – during pandemics, natural disasters and other health emergencies.
