Slovenian President Borut Pahor visit to Camp Butmir

Slovenian military personnel are a central part of the international NATO mission in BiH.

Today NHQSa Commander Eric Folkestad welcomed the Slovenian President Borut Pahor and the Minister of Defence Matej Tonin to Camp Butmir. General Folkestad briefed them on the vital role our Slovenian colleagues – including the head of our Technical Military Advisory Section who is a Slovenian Lieutenant Colonel - play in advising BiH as it reforms its armed forces and other defense institutions.

President Pahor emphasized Slovenia's plan to strengthen its presence in BiH, and also made Slovenia the latest NATO ally to respond to BiH's request for the Alliance's support in tackling the COVID pandemic, with a pledge of vaccines.
