Brigadier General Folkestad was one of the guests of the Joint Committee on Defence and Security in BiH's Parliamentary Assembly, as they discussed BiH's cooperation with NATO and the status of the Reform Plan. 

The Reform Plan sets out the areas where the authorities in BiH would like the help of our 30 NATO allies as they work to meet international standards. It, in no way, prejudges any decision on BiH's membership of NATO.

Through the Reform Plan the authorities in BiH commit to making changes, with international community support, to strengthen democracy, guarentee civilian oversight, scrutiny and control of the armed forces, and that individual rights are protected. It also improves the ability of the AFBIH to respond to crisis, work with international partners and protect citizens
