AFBIH 5TH BRIGADES BARRACKS VISIT

Brigadier General Eric Folkestad was welcomed to Tuzla, where he toured 5^th Brigade's barracks- and thanked and praised soldiers who had recently returned from supporting the NATO-led mission in Afghanistan for their performance, professionalism and commitment.

He, and 5th Brigade Commander Brigadier Kliko, also discussed the upcoming Exercise IMMEDIATE RESPONSE with the USA – during which the airport at Tuzla will play host to a unit of Blackhawk helicopters.

During a tour of the barracks the Commander was also able to see a piece of history – the now abandoned barracks that were once home to the US element of the NATO stabilization force in BiH - as well as construction of a new urban village that will be used to train soldiers for peace-support operations overseas.
