With these words, Ms. Lidra Zegali, NHQSa Security Institutions Building Advisor, addressed the participants of the Workshop on Increasing Public Awareness on Risk Reduction in Bosnia and Herzegovina, taking place at Jahorina, from 29-31 October 2024.
In partnership with BiH Ministry of Security and UN Bosnia and Herzegovina, the event is gathering participants of academia and civil society organisations across Bosnia and Herzegovina in providing valuable opportunity to discuss improvements to common challenges in crisis response and disaster management in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The event also introduced the benefits of NATO Science for Peace and Security Program for BiH academic community, as well as the capacities of EU Civil Protection Mechanism, which BiH joined in 2022, and which provided vital assistance to BIH during the most recent flash floods and landslides which affected central Bosnia and Herzegovina.
