NATO remains a steadfast partner to BiH Ministry of Defense and AFBIH

NATO remains a steadfast partner to BiH Ministry of Defense and AFBiH in continued reform activities for the benefit of all citizens.

The Commander of NHQSa, Brigadier General Pamela McGaha met today the BiH Minister of Defense, Mr Zukan Helez, to discuss further ways to strengthen our cooperation.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the priorities for 2024, to include NATO Allies support to Bosnia and Herzegovina through Defense Capacity Building Package, further development of BiH Armed Forces to fulfill its designated missions, and the strengthening of recruitment and retention at AFBiH.

The arrival of the North Atlantic Council at this moment is a strong signal from NATO and a proof of their support for the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina and your country ", said BG McGaha.

Brigadier General McGaha thanked Minister Helez for excellent NAC delegation visit to Rajlovac barracks last week, which showcased the ongoing projects supported by NATO Allies, and the committment of men and women in uniform that serve every day in support of all BiH citizens.

In conclusion, Gen. McGaha confirmed NHQSa’s commitment to supporting the MoD and AFBiH in the further process of defence reform, as well as full support for the ongoing partnership activities between NATO and BiH.
